Sustainability Tracking, Assessment, and Rating System
The Sustainability Tracking, Assessment, and Rating System (STARS) is an enterprise wide assessment of sustainability on campus developed by the Association for Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE). STARS is a voluntary self reporting assessment that provides a common standard of measurement for sustainability in higher education that measures sustainability performance and the progress we have made toward our sustainability goals in four key areas: academics, engagement, operations, and planning & administration. University of Richmond earned a Silver STARS rating in both 2013 and 2016, and most recently earned a Gold STARS rating in 2019.
